Fume
Exhaust Systems and Fans The perforated panels are easily removed for cleaning the water trap. The air plenum also generates
effective exhaust air flow from the adjacent sink. The bench is supplied
complete with base cabinet.
Performance The Calibre Down Draft Bench provides good fume containment when tested with air current smoke tubes, formaldehyde (formalin), and xylene. Vent Options The bench can be exhausted through a duct and fan, to disperse fumes externally. The Calibre Down Draft Bench can also be manufactured as a recirculating unit with internal fans and filters. Specialist filters are available to suit particles (HEPA) and chemicals such as formaldehyde or organic solvents. As the pure filtered air is returned to the laboratory, there is no lost energy. Dimensions The Calibre Down Draft Bench is supplied complete with base cabinet. Standard dimensions are: 1500mm wide x 800mm deep x 900mm high. (Height to work top). Splash proof back or side upstands are usually 150mm. Area of ventilated work zone: 800mm wide x 500mm deep Custom sizes are available. Optional Sluice Sink The Calibre Down Draft Bench can have an integral sluice sink with electronic flush (foot or knee operated) The sluice sink is usually 500mm square, and can also be ventilated
