Fume
Exhaust Systems and Fans The Fumeflow T400 fan was designed
to fit into limited space, while providing the performance benefits of
a conventional centrifugal fan. A belt driven, back inclined PVC impeller
runs in a bifurcated PVC housing. A stainless steel core chassis withstands
the load of bearings and belt drive, and supports the motor. As the running
gear is all outside the fan housing, the Fumeflow T400 fan is suitable
for normal fume exhaust applications, and has been used in place of two
stage axial fans. Typical duty is 250-500L/sec, up to 300Pa. The Fumeflow T250 (pictured below right) is a direct drive bifurcated centrifugal fan for school fume cupboards. It is designed for a specific duty of 250L/sec. Its light weight enables it to mount directly on to the exhaust stack. No brackets or bends are required, and the fan itself weathers the flue. This simplified duct arrangement reduces the capital cost of the Smoothflow Student Package.
